In central Scotland, a small-engine plane crashed. Two people died in the fall. This was reported by local police.
According to law enforcement officers, the incident occurred on October 16 in the vicinity of the village of Dreyman, located near the city of Stirling. Doctors arrived at the crash site of the Piper Tomahawk II plane, who confirmed the death of two people on board - an 80-year-old man and a 16-year-old teenager.
According to the BBC, communication with the plane disappeared 20 minutes after takeoff from Glasgow airport. It is noteworthy that earlier on Friday, the same Piper Tomahawk II — a small American single-engine aircraft designed primarily for pilot training and private flights — twice took to the sky. In one case, he spent 15 minutes in the air, in the other - two hours.
An investigation into the circumstances of the crash has already begun. No other details of the incident were given.
