The official report indicates that a man engaged in fishing on one of the local bodies of water, was attacked and killed by an alligator about three and a half meters long. Media representatives also noted that this is the second officially recorded incident of this kind this year.
The tragic incident occurred on Friday evening. The victim of the predator was 71-year-old Steven Hamilton, who was engaged in fishing at a distance of 24 kilometers from the city of Orlando.
According to local authorities, the presence of other predatory reptiles in the water made it difficult to conduct search and rescue operations. For this reason, the body of the deceased man was found only two hours later.
