In Uneche, Bryansk region, traffic police officers used firearms to stop a VAZ car, whose driver ignored the requirement to stop and tried to escape.
During the pursuit, the motorist repeatedly violated the rules of the road and created a danger to others. The inspector first fired a warning shot up and then shot several times at the wheels of the car. The car stopped on a country road.
Two passengers were taken to the police station. The driver fled into the woods but was soon arrested. Examination showed that the young man was in a state of intoxication. He also did not have a driving license.
According to the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Irina Volk, 18 administrative protocols were drawn up regarding the detainee. The car was placed in a specialized parking lot.
