In the Volgograd region, the number of accidents on the water decreased by 15%
In the Volgograd region recorded a decrease in the number of water accidents.

Since the beginning of 2026, specialists of the emergency rescue service of the region have conducted about 1,600 training events – preventive conversations and classes. More than 42 thousand residents, including children and adults, were instructed on the rules of safe behavior near the water. Thanks to this work, the number of accidents on water bodies decreased by 15% compared to the same period last year.
In the autumn, surveillance activities in recreation areas and fishing grounds became more intensive. According to the Committee on safety of the population, rescuers conducted 85 raids and issued more than 70 warnings. Vacationers and lovers of fishing are reminded how to behave on the water, and also tell about ways of self-rescue in emergencies.
Preventive work in the region is carried out systematically - this task was set by Governor Andrei Bocharov. Special attention is paid to the safety of children and adolescents, as well as the control of organized beaches and unofficial bathing places. Modern solutions help in the work: The Volgograd region is one of the first regions of the country where drones are used for rescue on the waters as part of the national project “Unmanned Aviation Systems”. The forces of the regional emergency and rescue service are 18 search and rescue units, more than 200 specialists and about 100 units of special equipment.
