In the Volgograd region opened a criminal case after the death of a locksmith
The case is being investigated by the investigative department in the city of Kamyshin
According to the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Volgograd region, a criminal case was initiated in Kamyshin under Part 2 of Art. 143 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - on violation of labor protection requirements, which resulted in the death of a person by negligence.
As established in the investigation Department, the tragedy occurred on the evening of October 4, 2026 at one of the enterprises of the city. The locksmith, engaged in the repair of mechanical equipment, was in a dangerous zone - he entered the production line, where the wheel manipulator continued to work, moving metal blanks. As a result of hitting special equipment, the man received serious injuries: among them - traumatic amputation of the left shin and a fracture of the occipital bone.
The victim was promptly taken to a medical institution, where he was provided with qualified assistance, but a few hours later he died.
Currently, employees of the territorial division of the TFR are conducting a complex of investigative actions. Their task is to find out all the circumstances of what happened. As part of the investigation, it is necessary to identify the persons responsible for compliance with safety rules at the facility; their actions or inaction will be given an appropriate legal assessment.
