In Yaroslavl, a monument to cadet love was established

In the Jubilee Park there was a monument to graduates of the Yaroslavl military financial school. About the new sculptural composition reports the mayor of Yaroslavl.

The sculptural composition was called “A student of the Yaroslavl military financial school on a date with a future bride”. The opening is timed to the 108th anniversary of the formation of the financial and economic service of the Armed Forces and the 88th anniversary of the creation of the school itself.

The monument was erected on the initiative of YAVFU graduates of different years, commanders and teaching staff of the military university. The initiative was supported by the city authorities. Since both in the city hall and in the government of the Yaroslavl region, graduates of YAVFU worked.

The opening was attended by graduates, representatives of the Yaroslavl City Hall, clergy, the Council of Veterans of the Military Financial and Economic Service, heads of the Ministry of Defense and other officers, veterans and their families.

The sculpture depicts a girl sitting on a bench. And the cadet who approaches her with a bouquet of roses. According to the initiators of the installation of the sculptural composition, the cadets got acquainted with future wives in this way. Perhaps the composition is based on someone’s personal story.

After the opening ceremony, the participants went to the Temple of Nikola Mokroy for a funeral service for all soldiers who died in the defense of the Fatherland. In the temple, a copy of the Battle Banner of the school was also transferred for eternal storage.

We will remind, in Yaroslavl there is already a monument to YAVFU graduates. It is installed on Koboloslnaya embankment, near the temple of Nikola Mokroy. The composition symbolizes the difficult service of military financiers during the Great Patriotic War. When officers of this specialty were entrusted with difficult work on material support of the belligerent army.
