In Zaporozhye region caught 17 drivers with signs of intoxication

On Friday, the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Zaporozhye region again focused on the problem of drunk driving.

Over the past week, employees of the department brought to justice 17 drivers who committed violations related to driving while intoxicated. Among them are 9 people who have officially confirmed their state of intoxication, and 6 drivers who refused to undergo examination. Two more offenders got behind the wheel again, being deprived of the right to drive; they can be prosecuted.

The traffic police emphasize that driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, psychotropic or toxic substances is one of the most dangerous traffic violations, often leading to accidents with serious consequences. The Department wishes all road users a calm and safe weekend.
