Vandals smashed a glass stop in the new city of Kostroma

In Kostroma, a stop pavilion in the New Town neighborhood was attacked by vandals. According to eyewitnesses in social networks, unknown completely broke all glass panels and ripped out lighting fixtures.

As a result of the incident, passengers were left without protection from wind, rain and darkness. The pavilion turned into a metal frame that does not perform its functions. Photos of the destroyed stop caused a wave of outrage among the citizens who use this route daily.

The city quickly responded to complaints from residents. The mayor’s office confirmed the fact of damage to property and reported that glass fragments have already been removed from the site.

It is planned to replace the glass and restore the lighting by the end of the year, the city administration said.
