Volgograd residents warned about fraudulent letters with subpoenas for interrogation
Scammers send infected subpoenas to Russians for interrogation.

Attackers began to attack citizens en masse, sending emails with archive files containing malware. As the correspondent of TASS found out, the reports claim that the recipient has been sent a summons to conduct investigative actions, and is requested to read the document and provide the necessary information. An archived file with a virus is attached to the letter.
To force a person to open an infection, scammers refer to the articles of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation: for failure to appear without a valid reason, they threaten a drive (Article 113), a monetary penalty (Article 118) or a wanted notice (Article 210). If the recipient does not open the file, the messages continue to arrive every 15 to 20 minutes – the expectation that the person will get scared and eventually run a malicious document, which will lead to infection of their device.
