Volgogradets lost 2.4 million rubles, believing the tricks of Internet fraudsters
Under the guise of registration of profitable transactions, the swindler convinced Volgograd to transfer money.

A resident of Volgograd, 49 years old, appealed to the duty unit of the police department of the Krasnoarmeysky district. He said that he fell for the trick of Internet fraudsters and lost more than 2.4 million rubles.
According to the man, an attacker came into contact with him on the Internet: he called himself the manager of a financial organization and promised income from investments on the stock exchange. Under the guise of registration of profitable transactions, the swindler convinced Volgograd to transfer money. As soon as the victim fulfilled all the instructions, the communication with the “manager” was cut off. Realizing that he was deceived, the man immediately reported the incident to the police.
Investigative authorities opened a criminal case under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Fraud”). Now law enforcement officers are carrying out a set of measures to establish those involved in the crime.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Volgograd region reminds: one should not trust the promises of easy and guaranteed earnings in the financial markets. If you or your loved ones have experienced any wrongdoing, call the police immediately on 102.
