A family from Ust-Abakan district wanted to buy lumber for the construction of the house, but in the end was left without money and without boards. Now the man, who is accused of fraud, faces up to five years in prison.
According to the investigation, in November 2024, the couple purchased a land plot and began to prepare for construction. For lumber, they went to the forest warehouse in the village of Teplichny, where they met a resident of the village of Zelenoye born in 1966.
The man offered to bring 12 cubic meters of boards for 120 thousand rubles - cheaper than the market price. The buyers agreed to pay in parts and first transferred 46 thousand rubles to the bank card specified by them.
After that, the seller began to delay delivery, citing transportation difficulties. He kept calling his family and asking for new transfers, promising to solve problems. In total, the man received 94,800 rubles, but did not bring lumber. When the buyers realized they had been cheated, they went to the police.
The criminal investigation is completed. The indictment was approved, the materials were sent to court. If the guilt of the man prove, he may face up to five years in prison, according to the interior Ministry in Khakassia.
