Residents of the Starominsky district complained about the attacks of wolves

Earlier in social networks there was information that in the vicinity of the farm Veselny in the Starominsky district in recent days, cases of wolves attacking livestock have increased.

After disturbing reports on the Internet about the attacks of wolves on pets, the prosecutor’s office of the Starominsky district initiated an urgent interdepartmental meeting. Representatives of several structures were invited to the meeting: rural and district administrations, subdivisions of the Ministry of Natural Resources, as well as the local hunting society to develop a unified approach to solving the problem.

Participants discussed in detail how to more effectively regulate the number of predators and control the situation in the area. Special attention was paid to the interaction of agencies: it is important that signals about the appearance of wolves quickly reach the responsible services. No less significant was the topic of prevention: experts agreed that it is necessary to more actively explain to residents the danger of free grazing of livestock near the habitats of wild animals.

Following the meeting, the parties outlined key areas of joint work and prepared a set of preventive measures, the press service of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Krasnodar Territory reports.
