A resident of the Levokum district of Stavropol will appear in court for the death of her granddaughter

The Neftekum interdistrict investigative department of the SU IC of Russia in the Stavropol Territory completed the investigation of the criminal case against a 38-year-old resident of the village of Pravokumsky Levokum district. She is accused of causing death by negligence.

The press service of the regional investigators said that through the fault of the defendant in March 2025, her seven-month-old granddaughter died.

A woman in a state of alcoholic intoxication decided to swim in the bath with her granddaughter and fell asleep. Due to her negligence, the granddaughter was hospitalized in serious condition and, despite the efforts of doctors, died after 8 months.

The investigation has gathered a sufficient evidence base. The criminal case was sent to the court for consideration on the merits.
