A resident of the Novosibirsk region stole 20 thousand rubles, asking for a phone call
In the Novosibirsk region, the court sentenced a resident of the village of Severnoe, who stole money from the bank account of a friend
According to the press service of the courts of general jurisdiction of the Novosibirsk region, the crimes were committed in May and June 2026. Nadezhda Andreeva twice asked the victim for a mobile phone allegedly to make calls.
While the owner of the device did not follow her actions, the woman used SMS messages to transfer money from the victim’s bank account to her daughter’s account. The total amount of stolen funds amounted to 20 thousand rubles.
During the trial, the defendant pleaded guilty and fully compensated for the damage caused. At the same time, she refused to testify, using Article 51 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation.
The Kuibyshevsky district court found the woman guilty of stealing from a bank account and sentenced her to a year and a half of suspended imprisonment with a probation period of one year.
Earlier, “MK in Novosibirsk” reported that a 19-year-old resident of the Chanovsky district was accused of stealing 35 thousand rubles from the bank account of his stepfather.
