A resident of Stavropol will go on trial for knife threats to children playing in the yard

The prosecutor’s office sent a criminal case against a 48-year-old resident of Stavropol to the court. She is accused of hooliganism with the threat of violence and the use of objects as weapons.

According to the investigation, in July 2026, in the yard of an apartment building on the street of 50 years of the Komsomol, a woman was angered by the noise from children playing. Waving a knife and swearing loudly, she headed to one of the boys, unresponsive to requests to calm down.

The woman’s actions greatly frightened the 10-year-old child. The prosecutor's office supports the state prosecution in the case. The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for up to 7 years.
