A resident of Kanash will be tried for trying to sell a large consignment of drugs

The Prosecutor’s office of Chuvashia sent to court a criminal case against a 39-year-old resident of Kanash. She is accused of attempted drug trafficking on a large scale.

According to investigators, in May 2026, the woman, along with a 26-year-old partner, received from accomplices the coordinates of a cache with a large batch of drugs. They took the prohibited substances and brought them home, where they were packaged for further sale.

To bring the criminal plan to the end failed. The man was detained by law enforcement officers while trying to transfer part of the drug to the buyer from hand to hand. The remaining batch was found and seized at the place of residence of the defendants.

The car “Skoda Rapid”, which, according to the investigation, was used to transport drugs, was seized.

The case of the woman will be considered by the Kanash district court. Materials against her alleged accomplice have been separated into separate proceedings.

Criminal activity was stopped by employees of the FSB of Russia in Chuvashia.
