At the request of the Investigative Committee investigator against the 37-year-old man, who on October 13 took his wife hostage and shot at a policeman, the court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention.

The press service of the republican investigator said that the suspect, being intoxicated in his home in the village of Ekazhevo, illegally deprived his wife of freedom, threatening her with a gun.

The defendant also fired several shots at a police officer who tried to stop his actions. At that time, there were three minor children in the house.
