Resident of Ivanov suspected of smuggling potent drug from India

Employees of the Vladimir customs found in the international mail from India 180 capsules with pregabalin. The parcel was intended for a resident of Ivanov, who was detained upon receipt of the order.

According to the Central Customs Administration, the examination confirmed that the capsules contained a total of 86.4 grams of pregabalin. Transfer of this substance in international mail is prohibited. According to the source, the man ordered the drug through the Internet, realizing the illegality of his actions.

In respect of Ivanovets opened a criminal case on the smuggling of potent substances. The sanction of the relevant article provides for imprisonment for up to seven years, as well as a fine of up to one million rubles.
