Resident of Ivanovo region will be tried for fakes about the army and work without marking a foreign agent

In the Frunze district court of the city of Ivanovo will be tried 53-year-old man accused of discrediting the Armed Forces and violation of the procedure of the foreign agent. The indictment has already been approved by the district prosecutor's office.

The investigation found that the accused, entered in the register of foreign agents, twice – in February and June 2026 – received administrative fines for the lack of marking on his materials. However, after leaving Russia, he continued this activity since July, ignoring the requirements of the law.

In addition, the man is charged with spreading false information that the Russian military allegedly damaged a civilian object during a special operation. The case against the resident was initiated by the FSB in the Ivanovo region and the Prosecutor’s office. Now the legality of his actions will be assessed by the court.
