A resident of Stavropol will be convicted for a false call about explosions in state institutions

The Prosecutor’s office approved the indictment in a criminal case against a 31-year-old resident of the Podgorsky district. The man is accused of knowingly falsely reporting an impending explosion, creating a danger of death, in order to destabilize the activities of the authorities.

According to the investigation, in September 2026, the accused called the unified duty dispatching service and reported false information about the impending explosions in a number of state institutions of the Stavropol Territory. At the same time, he realized that his words would be perceived as a real threat to people’s lives.

The criminal case has been sent to court. The sanction of the article provides for a penalty of imprisonment for up to 8 years.
