Zvenigovets convicted of fatal collision on pedestrian

Two years ago, in September 2024, a man died at an unregulated pedestrian crossing. One of the cars approaching the crossing stopped to let the pedestrian pass, and the second continued to move and knocked him down.

The court found the driver guilty of traffic violation, which led to the death of a person through negligence, and sentenced him to forced labor for two and a half years withholding 5% of wages in the state income. For the same period, the man is deprived of his driving license, the joint press service of the Mari El courts reports.

The court verdict has not entered into force.
