RBC Investments learned from brokers how an investor can manage a portfolio in case of problems with access to applications or the Internet in general.
What to do if the broker’s application does not work
Gazprombank Investments. The broker has backup channels for access to the brokerage account: you can go to your personal account through the web version in the browser or call a trader and give an order by voice, said Dina Kuzmina, head of the digital sales department of the Gazprombank Investments service.
"BCS World of Investment." Director of the digital business unit “BCS World of Investments” Alexander Golovin named several options for how to access the portfolio if the application is not available:
go to the web office; go to the web terminal; set up a QUIK trading terminal; get an access token in advance and connect the trading MCP to your AI agent.
“There are additional requirements for installation and authentication, as well as a more complex client path, but otherwise in terms of trading and money movement operations (factories/outputs/transfers), everything is available,” Golovin said.
QUIK (Quick Internet Quotations) is a trading terminal for self-trading on the exchange through a broker.
Access token is a special digital code or string of characters that replaces the login and password when automatically trading through programs, terminals or scripts.
MCP is a protocol that allows artificial intelligence to interact with external services.
Digital Broker. Clients of this broker also have the opportunity to trade through the application, the Digital Broker web interface, the QUIK trading system and the QUIK web, said Vladimir Shumakov, Director of the Digital Broker Trading Department.
In the absence of access to the Internet, you can issue orders by phone simply by calling the trading department of the company and sending a voice order to traders. Also, customers can place stop orders to limit possible losses, Vladimir Shumakov added.
Finam. With a massive disruption on the Internet and a complete lack of access to mobile Internet or Wi-Fi, broker clients also have the opportunity to call traders by phone, pass identification and make a deal within their portfolio.
Dmitry Lesnov, Deputy General Director for Brokerage Business of Finama, said that the client has no restrictions in his actions, but you can submit five orders a day without an additional fee, except for the brokerage commission. Accordingly, each subsequent is separately charged. Within one phone call, you can put several orders for transactions, the broker specified.
"VTB My investments." The broker also gives the opportunity to trade through the web version, the QUIK terminal from a computer, as well as to submit voice orders by phone.
