Thanks to the newspapers of the publishing house “Belarus Today”, readers are always aware of the main events taking place in the country and the world. In the traditional review, sb.by announces the most interesting materials that will be published on the pages of our publications on Friday, September 18.

Illustrative photo from the SB archive. Belarus today On the last day of winter this year, the Head of State visited Nestanici-Agro OJSC of Logoi district. The farm has achieved good results in dairy farming. The average yield from a cow last year exceeded 8700 kilograms. The dairy complex has been reconstructed, a calves dispensary has been built, which Alexander Lukashenko praised. At the same time, the President pointed to the shortcomings on the territory of the ITC, the improper maintenance of calves, stressing that discipline and order are the basis of successful work and good results. The Head of State made a special emphasis on the supervision of the village from industrial enterprises, which at one time took a lot of personnel from rural areas. The leadership of the region and district was instructed to develop a plan to eliminate the noted shortcomings and named a specific date - September 17. Our correspondents visited Nestanichy-Agro and saw how the Belarusian leader’s demand was fulfilled.

How the appearance of the economy, which the President visited in February, has changed, you will learn from the material of Vasily Giedroyts in the SB publication. Belarus today”. Photo report attached . "Expert" (Friday issue of the newspaper "Respublika") * Since the beginning of the year, more than 20 thousand electric vehicles have been registered in Belarus. This is a record for our country. Belarus firmly holds the first place in the post-Soviet space in terms of the number of electric vehicles per capita. Right now we have over 70,000 green cars. And by 2030, the fleet of electric vehicles is planned to increase to 300 thousand. In addition, the network of charging stations is actively expanding, the share of electric public transport is increasing. Learn more about the development of the electric mobility market in Belarus from the Chairman of the Board of the Association for the Development of Electric Transport "BETA" Sergey Khudoeshko.

- If we evaluate the position of Belarus on the global map of electromobility, the dry statistics show a real breakthrough. Our market can no longer be called nascent - it has moved to the stage of mature and dynamic growth, - said Sergey Khudoeshko. - Belarus confidently occupies a leading position among the CIS countries in the number of electric vehicles per capita. At the same time, in Russia, despite the size of the market, the total number of electric cars is comparable, and their share in sales is critically small – less than 1%. In addition, the share of clean electric vehicles in total new registrations is about 12.5-14%. This puts Belarus on par with countries such as Austria, Switzerland or Portugal, and leaves the US far behind (where the share remains at 8 percent). What is the secret of the phenomenon?

- Unlike the countries of Western Europe, where the main driver is the environmental agenda, a unique economic puzzle has worked in Belarus. The launch of the Belarusian nuclear power plant created a surplus of available electricity, which the state strategically directed to the transport sector. The developed infrastructure (charging network has grown to 2,428 stations) and timely tax benefits have made the electric car in the republic not a luxury, but the most pragmatic and economically justified choice for the driver.
Everything was laid out on the shelves by Tatiana Semenkova, whose analytical material will be published on the pages of the newspaper Respublika.
Every day on the streets of Minsk go more than 2 thousand units of passenger equipment. Buses, trolleybuses, trams and electric buses connect the districts of the big city and carry hundreds of thousands of passengers. To make travel more comfortable, city parks are regularly replenished with new cars. Emphasis is placed on the development of electric transport, as it is fully consistent with the principle of sustainable urban mobility - meeting the needs of passengers in transportation with minimal damage to the environment.

Photo from the SB archive Today, the share of urban electric transport in the capital is 49 percent. The plan is to increase it to 55 percent by 2030. Including by replenishing the fleet with modern electric buses. They are produced at BKM Holding. The company's products are in demand both in Belarus and abroad, and it firmly occupies the position of one of the leading manufacturers of land urban electric transport in the CIS countries. Our correspondent met with the head of BKM Holding Mikhail Symanovich and found out what new models of equipment are in development and what the comprehensive modernization of production will give.

- It's a modern tram. It is bi-directional - it has two cockpit front and rear - and can drive without a reversal ring. These trams we once produced, but they had a shopping cart. Now we have moved away from imports and developed and manufactured them ourselves. And this tram is as localized and technological as possible. It's a 2026 novelty. Another premiere of this year is a suburban electric bus. Four units have already been produced for the Belarusian nuclear power plant. It is used as a corporate transport. Also, another suburban electric bus is being assembled, which is envisaged for use in the satellite cities of Fanipol and Smolevichy, Mikhail Symanovich shared.

A prototype with a more powerful battery is currently in production and certification. It allows you to travel up to 250 kilometers from charging to charging. And given the fact that the electric bus is planned to be used with combined charging - both from a pistol and from a pantograph, its daily mileage can reach 500 kilometers.
The details are in the material of Vladislav Sychevich.
* The law requires registration in the Republican Unitary Enterprise for Supervision of Telecommunications "BelGIE" of all commercial sites and the relevance of their data. Owners often argue: registered and forgot. But that's not true. What threatens if the data is outdated, what are other pitfalls and how to avoid them - in the material with the technical director of the hosting provider HB.BY - the official registrar of .BY /.BEL domains, associate professor of the Department of Computing Systems and Networks of Polotsk State University Konstantin Rakhanov.

BelGIE is a state enterprise for the supervision of telecommunications. One of the tasks of the inspection is to register websites and online stores operating in Belarus. In fact, it is a body that keeps records of all commercial Internet resources in the country and controls their work in the legal field. Why is that necessary? Each website has an owner who is responsible for its content. So that users trust the resources where they leave data or make purchases. And so that the state can maintain order in the national segment of the Internet.
- Monitoring the registration of the site is one of the principles of digital hygiene, - explains Konstantin Rakhanov. - Sites should be reliable, correctly registered and serviced according to the rules. It's a requirement of the law. You'll learn more if you don't miss Elena Alimova's material. "Union." Two industrial giants - OAO BELAZ and PJSC MMC Norilsk Nickel - signed a cooperation agreement last week. They combine efforts in the development of scientific and technical potential for the creation of new generation mining equipment, the introduction of unmanned technologies in mining and other innovations.

For Mogilev Automobile Plant named after S.M. Kirov, which is a branch of OJSC "BELAZ", interaction with the leader of the mining and metallurgical industry of Russia today is a real work that gives practical results. The partnership strategy envisages joint development of specialized, high-tech underground machines independent of imports.
How innovative mining equipment is born, the correspondent of Soyuz Elena Kukshinskaya saw in the workshops of the Mogilev plant. The name of this famous oncologist is known to the entire medical scientific community not only in our country, but also far beyond its borders. And he is recognized in the face and never tire of thanking thousands of rescued patients. The guest of “Narodnaya Gazeta” is one of the youngest academicians of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Deputy Director of the N.N. Alexandrov Oncology and Medical Radiology Research Center Sergey Krasny. On the eve of his anniversary, he gave a candid interview about the role of chance in choosing a profession: he told why at the very beginning of his career he wanted to quit his job, as he once almost risked his career for the sake of a patient, and admitted what phrase radically changes our lives for the better.

- I consciously chose both university and specialization. Although it would be more correct to say - listened to the most authoritative opinion of his grandmother Olga Gavrilovna, - says Sergey Krasny. - I, in fact, was born in a family of hereditary military, and all relatives, except her, expected that I will continue the professional dynasty. But my grandmother, when I was in high school, said, "No, you can't be a military man, you're too kind!" She advised me to go to the doctor. My choice for my parents was a disappointment at first. But then, over time, they proudly said that their son is a scientist, an oncologist. More information - in an interview that the academician of the NAS of Belarus took Lyudmila Konopelko.
In all history, no bird has received as many regalia as a dove: a symbol of peace, purity, divine presence, love. The New Testament describes the descent of the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove at the time of Christ’s baptism. In the Old Testament, there is a parable about a dove released by Noah, which brought him the news of the end of the Flood in the form of an olive branch. During the war, the black wings perfectly coped with the mission of a military postman. Find out how they live in our time and in our realities.

- The most common for residents of cities is a blue pigeon. This species is a pet of pigeon breeders, - said the head of the laboratory of ornithology of the Scientific and Practical Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for Bioresources Irina Samusenko. - This is a sedentary species that is closely related to humans and in the wild of Belarus is practically not found. Initially, gray pigeons nested on rocky cliffs, in niches. City buildings remind them of such natural shelters, so birds nest in attics, niches and other secluded places.
Often on the streets you can find pigeons of bright colors - white, brown, red. Their forefathers are the spiders. The colorful color scheme is a consequence of the work of pigeon breeders: a person chooses birds with an unusual color and purposefully crosses, fixing certain genetic characteristics.

Why and how Minskan Anatoly Weber for six decades breeds, nurtures and cherishes these wonderful birds? What does the Minsk Blue Sports Club do? Is it possible to get an infection from a pigeon? The answers to these and many other questions can be found in the article by Alexandra Jankovic in the People’s Gazette.
