The Three Rules in the Woods
1. Don't take it. In deadly poisonous mushrooms - pale toadstool or fly-tumor - there is no sharp unpleasant smell, they do not bitter. Do you doubt a mushroom for a second? Walk past.
2. No overgrown and flabby mushrooms. Over time, chemical processes are triggered in the tissues of even edible mushrooms and dangerous decay products are formed.
3. Forget about the roadsides and the city. Mushrooms like a sponge absorb salts of heavy metals and exhaust gases. Collect them only in the depths of the forest.
Kitchen rules
• Processing – strictly on the day of collection. Mushrooms spoil instantly. Sorting should be done only by adults.
• Pre-cooking is mandatory. Any forest mushrooms must first be boiled in a large amount of salted water, after which the water must be drained, and the mushrooms thoroughly washed.
• A taboo for children. Mushrooms are heavy chitinous food. Children under 10-12 years old, pregnant women and people with gastrointestinal diseases, they are categorically contraindicated.
• Do not buy mushrooms “by hand” (fresh, dried or rolled into banks) in places of unauthorized trade.
What to do at the first symptoms
If there was nausea, vomiting, weakness, abdominal pain:
• Don’t wait until it goes away, and don’t drink alcohol – it only speeds up the absorption of poisons.
• Seek medical help immediately.
