In Minsk, about 223 thousand students receive food in school canteens. In the new academic year, some changes were introduced: for example, the portion volume was adjusted based on the needs of children of different ages. What is fed to schoolchildren in the new academic year – in the material of the correspondent of the agency “Minsk-Novosti”.

Since September, over 1,800 students have started classes at secondary school No. 32. This school is one of the largest in the city.
- Nevertheless, it is important for us to create comfortable conditions for children. The dining room receives more than 300 students at each change. High school students like the varied menu. For kids, together with the School Nutrition Plant, we organize actions: children receive prizes for the portion eaten, said Natalia Gerasimovich, director of secondary school No. 32. We analyze what dishes students prefer, conduct a survey of parents. All this forms the basis of two-week diets.

On the day of the arrival of the journalist, students of 6-11 grades were offered a cottage cheese and chocolate casserole as a second breakfast. In the dining room, the aroma reigned, as in the confectionery - it smelled like vanilla cheesecake.
The innovation was the acquisition of a vending machine. It was installed in the school lobby. Breakfast can now be purchased not only in the buffet. The device is popular - you have to fill it at least four times a day.

Children are happy to take fruit puree, bread, corn balls. Use simple: enter the order number and attach the card for payment. The range of products that can be sold with the help of such automated buffets is determined taking into account the principles of children's diet. In Minsk, for example, vending machines are filled with cookies, halva, goats, marshmallows, nuts (except peanuts) and dried fruits, water, juices.
- Even if it's sweet, it's allowed for school meals. All products undergo mandatory hygienic evaluation in the Minsk City Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology, said Lyudmila Krupskaya, Director of the School Nutrition Plant.

Since September 1, the approaches in the organization of student nutrition have changed in institutions of general secondary education. Last academic year, Minsk became an experimental platform for testing them. Now all schools and gymnasiums of the country have introduced innovations.
- We identified the top dishes that children like, and they formed the basis of an approximate two-week diet for the autumn period. They included nuggets, potatoes baked with tomato sauce "Fairy Tale", cheesecakes, boiled dumplings, sausages, pancakes with various fillings (sausage and cheese, cottage cheese, cherry) and much more, explained L. Krupskaya.
An important innovation was the introduction of a single type of meal for children who eat once a day. So, all pupils of grades 1-11, who study in the first shift, receive a second breakfast, in the second shift - a luncheon.
- Both complexes are equal and consist of a hot dish, a drink. Based on the experience of the last school year, we understand that salads are not popular among children, so we offer mainly portioned vegetables. It can be tomatoes, cucumbers, pepper, said the director of the KSF.
In addition, the diet now counts on three groups: for 1-5, 6-8 and 9-11 classes. Previously, it was developed for two age categories: 6-10 and 11-17 years. The innovation allowed to adjust portion volumes based on the physiological needs of boys and girls. In simple words, the volume of the dish in the eleventh grader is now more than the fifth grader.

What's on the menu
Examples of second breakfasts that students in Minsk receive:
- 1.banzai cutlet with bulgur;
- 2.dumplings boiled with sour cream and with tomato sauce;
- 3.pancakes with cottage cheese and chocolate sauce;
- 4.omelet with cheese and kneli "Silach";
- 5.classic nuggets and buckwheat porridge;
- 6.sausages "Grandmothers" and rice porridge;
- 7.cheesecakes with ricotta and chocolate sauce or sour cream;
- 8.artek milk porridge and quail eggs.
Each complex is supplemented with tea or drink.

The cost of the question
How much will the second breakfast cost parents:
- 1.1-5th grades – 2.41 BYN;
- 2.6-8th grades – 2.64 BYN;
- 3.Grades 9–11 – 2.85 BYN.
Can a student get lunch in addition to breakfast?
If the child is in school for more than 6.5 hours, for example, after lessons, electives, classes in sections or circles, he may need a second hot meal.
- In the dining room, traditional soup lunches continue to be cooked. For example, such complexes are offered to children visiting an extended day group. Every student can order lunch. The main condition is a preliminary application. It can be decorated on the position of the buffet menu, choosing, say, a salad or a bun with yogurt. The class leader prepares an application - and at a certain change, students centrally come to the dining room, where everything is ready for lunch. This method allows you not to waste time in queues in the buffet, said L. Krupskaya.
