Chelyabinsk drivers are divided about the future of Chinese cars
The return of the usual car brands to Russia can seriously affect the sales of Chinese cars

The return of the usual car brands to Russia can seriously affect the sales of Chinese cars. So say 31% of motorists of the Chelyabinsk region. Almost as many believe that Chinese manufacturers have already firmly taken their place in the market.
Such results were shown by a survey of the car portal "Drom", conducted among site users.
In the Chelyabinsk region, 32% of respondents believe that Chinese brands will retain their positions even if competitors return. Sales may decline slightly, but these respondents do not expect a mass departure of brands.
The other 31 percent are more skeptical. According to them, the emergence of familiar foreign manufacturers will lead to a noticeable drop in demand for Chinese cars or even their withdrawal from the market.
There's a third position. At once, 36% of South Ural drivers believe that global car brands will not officially return to Russia.
Opinions differ across the country, too. For example, in the Kurgan region, Buryatia and Crimea, 43% of respondents believe that Chinese cars will be able to compete with Western ones. And in the Leningrad and Samara regions, 46% of motorists do not expect the return of foreign companies.
In the comments, survey participants often returned to the question of price. One of the drivers of the Rostov region suggested that Chinese cars will continue to buy even after the emergence of alternatives: to rely on the former prices of foreign models is not necessary.
