Dagestani man convicted of fraud with subsidies and forgery of documents

The Levashinsky district court sentenced a local resident found guilty of fraud on a large scale and forgery of documents, the press service of the courts of Dagestan reported.

The court found that the defendant, together with a group of persons, prepared a package of forged documents to receive subsidies for 1,692,900 rubles. During the proceedings, the amount of damage was specified: in fact, illegally obtained and distributed among the group participants, the funds amounted to 480 thousand rubles. Because of this, the court reclassified the act from part 4 to part 3 of article 159 of the criminal code of the Russian Federation.

The second episode took place in June 2023 and involved fake reporting. On the advice of a distant relative, who convinced the man that overstating figures was standard practice, he agreed to distort the data on livestock. In the documents, instead of the actual 735 goals, 1026 were indicated.

The court appointed him four years in prison and a fine of 110 thousand rubles.
