The debt of Orenburg residents for water exceeded half a billion
Overdue debt for water in Orenburg amounted to half a billion rubles

Of 336 thousand subscribers-individuals malicious defaulters are 27 thousand consumers. Among the main categories are apartment owners who have accumulated debt over several years, subscribers who ignore receipts and do not transmit meter readings, as well as residents who voluntarily connected to networks.
How this affects the work of the company. Funds that should be used to repair networks, upgrade equipment and improve the quality of services are not received on time. As a result, not only the company suffers, but also conscientious citizens who pay for services on time.
What they say in the Water Canal.
“Payment discipline is not just a matter of finance. It is a matter of responsibility for each of us to our neighbors and the city as a whole. When some subscribers do not pay, the burden falls on everyone: the company is forced to postpone repairs and look for additional sources of financing. But we are always ready to meet those who are in a difficult situation, offer installments and restructuring. Angry defaulters should understand that sooner or later they will have to pay for services – and not only the amount of debt, but also penalties and legal costs. We are conducting systematic claim and claim work and will continue it against all who ignore their obligations, said Alexey Markov, Commercial Director of Rosvodokanal Orenburg.
It is used to reduce debt. The company uses a set of measures: debt reporting, restructuring, claim work, judicial recovery and restriction of services.
What to do if you receive a notification. Do not ignore it, but contact the company to clarify the amount and discuss repayment options. In most cases, litigation and additional costs can be avoided. You can find out about your debt in your personal account on the official website or in the customer service center.
The main thing here is not the sum of half a billion, but its distribution. The lion’s share of the debt – 462 million rubles – falls on individuals, that is, ordinary citizens. And this is not an abstract figure, when a quarter of a billion fails to reach the enterprise, network repairs are delayed, and wear and tear increases. As a result, defaulters are actually paid by those who pay on time, receive less reliable infrastructure and risk accidents.
And a separate moment — 27 thousand malicious debtors out of 336 thousand subscribers. That's about one in twelve! That is, the problem is not in isolated cases, but in sustainable practices, which the company tries to fight through courts and restrictions.
And do you think that conscientious payers should somehow compensate for the fact that their neighbors have not paid for water for years?
