Drivers put asphalt from old tires in the Vladimir region
The experimental section is 500 meters of the Sobinka-Vyshmanovo-Bulanovo-Konyaevo highway around the turn to the village of Remni.

These are new technologies, according to the Ministry of Transport of the region. Together with partners from St. Petersburg, a pilot project was launched: an innovative component from recycled tires is added to the asphalt mix. The developers assure that the solution is environmentally friendly, inexpensive and not inferior in quality to the usual materials.
According to the deputy head of the company Alexander Vasiliev, this additive is the only one in Russia with a patent for deep chemical devulcanization. First, large tires are checked in the laboratory: assess elasticity, stretching and elasticity. Then the properties are restored in a rubber mixture and a modifier is made for road workers, taking into account the characteristics of each region and climatic zone. As a result, the mixture on physical and mechanical indicators is not inferior to polymeric bitumen binder, behaves well on the road, prolongs the service life of the coating and reduces maintenance costs.
The partners highly appreciated the cooperation with the road team of the region. The experimental section is 500 meters of the Sobinka-Vyshmanovo-Bulanovo-Konyaevo highway around the turn to the village of Remni. Specialists of Vladuprador and DSU-3 examined the laying of the upper layer with a new additive. Ahead laboratory tests of the material separately and asphalt concrete.
