It is noted that when assigning a pension, periods of leave or care for a child under the age of 3 years are included in the total length of service and thus are taken into account when calculating the size of the pension. At the same time, these periods are included in the seniority of only one of the parents or able-bodied persons who cared. From January 1, 2021, the total duration of periods of care for children under the age of 3 years is increased from 9 to 12 years.

In the insurance period, periods of leave to care for a child under 3 years are not counted. For the appointment of an employment pension by age, not only the total length of service is necessary, but also the length of service with the payment of insurance contributions to the pension fund. From 2025, the required minimum insurance experience is 20 years.

- Mothers with many children who gave birth to five or more children and brought them up to the age of 8 years, are entitled to an age pension with a reduction in the generally established retirement age for 5 years, the ministry said. At the same time, 5 years of insurance experience and 15 years of total experience (including insurance).

Regardless of age, an old-age pension is assigned to mothers with many children who have given birth to five or more children and brought them up to the age of 16, with at least 10 years of experience in agricultural enterprises directly in the production of agricultural products (without crediting to the length of time spent caring for children).

For mothers with many children who have given birth to four children and brought them up to the age of 8, an age pension is assigned upon reaching the generally established retirement age with a reduced insurance experience of 5 years and in the presence of 20 years of total service (including insurance).
