When there is anxiety around: why do Belgorod residents come to Curiosity

Residents of Belgorod can get free psychological help in the club "Curiosity". It was created by two friends Anna Skorospekhova and Natalia Galushko.

Support for all

Immersion in the profession took place in Voronezh. There Anna Skorospekhova and Natalia Galushko left with their children because of the alarming situation in Belgorod.

Girlfriends began to lead a Telegram channel, where they posted useful posts for free. Back in Belgorod last year, they opened a club of psychologists “Curiosity” with individual consultations and group sessions.

From telegram channel to club

Belgorodki began to organize free group classes for everyone because of the tense situation. They take place on Sundays by appointment. Psychologists often go beyond a 1.5-hour session format.

Each lesson is carried out by specialists with a specific purpose: to teach a person to understand who or what his life support is, to help him see his strengths, and also to explain how to build relationships with loved ones and ask for help if necessary.

"Curiosity" in action

One of those who took advantage of free psychological help is 73-year-old Galina. In December 2023, she faced the most powerful stress due to the attack of the APU.

“I went to meet my grandson – he was speaking on the square on December 30, when the shelling began,” she said. Fortunately, neither he nor I were hurt, but I was in such a state of stress that the children took me to Stary Oskol the next day. This is my home, I studied there, and my cousin lives there. I came to see him. And you know, all the people there supported me: they called me to events that were held for pensioners, and then I signed up for a psychologist in a clinic, and it helped me a lot. But since 2024, I haven’t picked up a pencil.

At the training, participants were asked to draw chamomile, where the flower petals, stem and leaves had to be filled with answers to psychologists’ questions. Galina created a real masterpiece, returning to her favorite occupation.

The citizen not only attends group classes herself, but also brought her friend. More details - in the material "BelPress".
