Rapist's apartment sold to pay off victim in Russian city

In Nizhny Novgorod, bailiffs obtained compensation for moral damage to a woman victim of rape by selling the convict’s real estate. Details of the enforcement proceedings were disclosed in the regional department of the Federal Bailiff Service.

The 58-year-old man was found guilty of rape and sent to serve his sentence in a high-security correctional colony. The court also ordered him to pay the victim monetary compensation, but the income of the prisoner was not enough to repay the debt.

During the inspection of the property status of the convicted bailiff found his apartment with an area of 42.5 square meters. The property was seized, after which the residential premises were put up for sale for execution of the court decision.

The amount earned from the sale of the apartment allowed to fully pay off the victim. In addition to compensation for moral damage in the amount of 1 million rubles, from the funds received, it was possible to repay the executive fee, the amount of which amounted to 70 thousand rubles.

The Russian brutally killed his sister to steal jewelry.

The parents of the nine children kept them in dog cages and tortured them.
