In Kamchatka, a woman was ordered compensation for the beating of her daughter’s classmate

The Kamchatka Regional Court ruled that a resident of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky should pay eighty thousand rubles in favor of a twelve-year-old boy and his parents as compensation for beating a child at a school holiday.

According to the press service of the court, the incident occurred in the gaming institution of the regional capital, where schoolchildren celebrated the end of the school year. After an argument between the children, one of the girls complained to her mother, and she came to the party, took her daughter’s twelve-year-old classmate out of the playroom, hit him three times in the face and neck, and then demanded to apologize to the girl. Doctors recorded abrasions on the boy’s neck and bruises on his face, after which the parents appealed to the court.

The defendant tried to dispute the amount of the payment, claiming that the boy himself provoked the conflict, but did not provide evidence. The Court stressed that the child's conduct did not justify the use of physical force by an adult. In addition to compensation, the woman received an administrative penalty for beatings.
