Employees of the transport police of Petrozavodsk together with inspectors of GIMS conducted a preventive raid on Lake Ladoga

Employees of the transport police of Petrozavodsk together with inspectors of GIMS conducted a preventive raid on Lake Ladoga. In the field of view of law enforcement officers got a boat on board which were seven people. As it turned out during the inspection, the ship was operated with a gross violation of safety rules: none of the passengers had life jackets.
In addition to the lack of life-saving means, the guards suspected that the captain of the ship was drunk. The man refused to undergo a medical examination, after which he was removed from control, and the boat was taken to shore.
The boatmaster now faces serious responsibility. Administrative proceedings have been initiated against him under Part 2 of Article 11.9 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation, which entails deprivation of rights to operate a small vessel for a period of up to two years. The issue of bringing the violator to justice under Article 11.10 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation for disregarding the safety rules of passengers is also being considered. Documents on the case have already been transferred to the authorized bodies.
