About the new prohibitions on construction told residents of the Orel region

On August 4, 2026, amendments to the Water Code of the Russian Federation and the Federal Law of 21.07.1997 No. 117-FZ “On the safety of hydraulic structures” came into force in Russia. This is reported in the press service of the State Property Department of the Orel region.

The main change is the ban on the construction of capital structures in areas of flooding and flooding. The exception was made only for engineering protection objects - dams, shore reinforcements, retaining walls, pumping stations, drainage systems.
