They do not have the right to refuse: the Ministry of Labor told how to issue a parental leave

The Ministry of labor and social protection explained how the father to issue leave to care for a child under three years and what documents are needed for this. This sb.by reported in the press service of the Ministry.

It is noted that if the family decides that the baby will be cared for by the father, the first step will be to obtain a certificate from the place of work of the mother of the child that she is not on leave to care for a child under 3 years, went to work and she stopped paying benefits.

Then the father must write a statement to the employer - they have no right to refuse this. Together with the application, a passport, a birth certificate of the child, a certificate of family composition and a certificate from the mother's place of work are submitted.

The department clarified important points. Vacation can be divided: for example, the mother sits with the child for the first two years, and the father issues a decree in the third year. Also, the right to leave and allowance is not only for parents, but also for working grandparents.

During the holiday, the father is assigned a monthly state allowance. The allowance to the mother is paid before the end of the month in which the application for termination of payment is filed, and the father can issue a vacation immediately after the provision of the certificate.
