Remote work should not be accompanied by a reduction in wages. The employer is obliged to provide the remote employee with all the necessary equipment, said insurance expert Vitaly Rybalkin in an interview with RT.

If an employee uses his or her personal devices, such as a computer or telephone, with the company’s permission, he or she will be compensated and reimbursed for the costs involved. The same rules apply to rental of equipment for work.

The amount of compensation, the procedure and terms of their payment should be clearly spelled out in an employment or collective agreement, an additional agreement or a local regulatory act. If a remote employee is sent to another region, they are provided with standard travel payments.
