Police of Pskov region revealed two thefts: stolen car and moped returned to owners

Employees of the criminal investigation department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia “Opochetsky” and the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia “Pytalovskoye” in the shortest possible time disclosed two crimes related to the theft of vehicles.

On October 12, a 44-year-old resident of the Opochetsky district reported the theft of his car VAZ-2107. The car disappeared from the yard of a private house between October 10 and 12. The damage is estimated at 50 thousand rubles. The operatives quickly identified the suspect - he was previously convicted 50-year-old local resident.

The next day, October 13, a 38-year-old resident of the Pitalovsky district filed a complaint about the theft of a Delta moped. The amount of damage amounted to 77 thousand rubles. During the operational-search activities, the stolen moped was found in the city of Prytalovo.

Both vehicles have now been seized and are preparing to be returned to their rightful owners. According to the facts of the incident, criminal cases were initiated under paragraph “in” of Part 2 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Theft”).
