Entrepreneur from Chaplynka convicted of fraud with subsidy

Chaplyn Interdistrict Court of Kherson region has sentenced in a criminal case against a 49-year-old resident of the village Chaplynka. She was found guilty under part 3 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - fraud. A criminal case was initiated on the basis of the materials of the prosecutor's inspection and investigated by police officers.

The court found that in the period from May to July 2024, the woman, being an individual entrepreneur and carrying out activities in the territory of the Chaplyn municipal district, in order to receive a subsidy, provided false information to the authorized department about the actually incurred costs of agricultural crop production. In particular, it was about the purchase of plant protection products, mineral fertilizers and fuel and lubricants for agro-technological works related to the cultivation of winter wheat in 2024. As a result, the budget of the region was damaged in the amount of more than 440 thousand rubles.

During the trial, the defendant fully admitted guilt and compensated for the damage caused. The court, taking into account the opinion of the state prosecutor, sentenced the guilty to a fine of 300 thousand rubles.
