Rospotrebnadzor of Stavropol: since the beginning of the year 59 kg of meat products have been withdrawn from circulation

For 9 months of 2026, the Department of Rospotrebnadzor in the Stavropol Territory inspected 384 objects engaged in the production, sale and catering of meat products. This was reported in the press service of the department.

2525 samples were studied, in 15 samples discrepancies in microbiological parameters were revealed. Antibiotics, pesticides, toxic elements, GMOs and radionuclides were not found in the samples.

For the sale of products without the necessary marking, 3 protocols on administrative offenses were drawn up. One warning and two fines totaling 32 thousand rubles were issued. 8 batches of meat products weighing 59.1 kg were withdrawn from circulation.

Preventive measures were carried out in respect of 1,218 controlled persons, including 1,558 preventive visits and 354 informing.

Rospotrebnadzor reminds: buying meat in places of spontaneous sale is dangerous. Stationary shops with water supply and refrigeration equipment should be chosen. The seller must have documents confirming the safety of products, and the buyer has the right to demand them.

When choosing, you need to study the label, composition, date of manufacture and expiration dates. The label indicates the type of product: “meat” (more than 60% of meat ingredients), “meat-containing” (from 5 to 60%), “meat-bearing” (from 30 to 60%) and “vegetable-meat” (from 5 to 30%).
