Journalist and blogger Irina Shikhman* (recognized as a foreign agent in Russia), who left Russia, admitted that she was daily worried about separation from her homeland. She shared her feelings in a video on the YouTube channel of Leonid Parfenov.
The presenter asked famous immigrants how hard they endure life away from Russia. Shikhman replied that almost every day she experiences an excruciating yearning for her former life.
Especially acutely, the journalist feels a lack of familiar communication. She remembered watching a girl meet friends in Tel Aviv. This episode made her realize that spontaneous gatherings with loved ones are now impossible, since they all live in different countries.
