a unique implantation of a new heart valve in the previously installed ring-corrector was performed. The surgery was an alternative to open re-intervention for a 64-year-old patient.

In Belarus, for the first time, a transcatheter implantation of a tricuspid valve into a previously installed prosthesis was performed. A unique intervention was performed by specialists of the RSPC "Cardiology", BelTA reports.
A patient born in 1959 was admitted to the center with chronic heart failure caused by dysfunction of the previously implanted ring-corrector. Due to the extremely high risk of repeated open surgery, the board decided to apply an X-ray endovascular correction method.
The operation was carried out by a multidisciplinary team under the leadership of the head of the X-ray operative department of interventional cardiology Oleg Polonetsky and the head of the department of interventional cardiology Valery Stelmashka.
