In Orel, the project of a large-scale replacement of the tram linen is dusting on the shelf

On the air of the TV channel "First Regional" Deputy Director of the enterprise "Spetsavtobaza" Dmitry Kuznetsov told about a major project to replace the tramway in Orel, which is still impossible to implement.

According to Pushkin, as well as in many other streets, design and estimate documentation has been developed with an integrated approach, up to the replacement of the tramway with new sleeperless technologies. Unfortunately, this project is still on the shelf and waiting for funding sources, the official said.

We add that the serious deterioration of the networks and in general the infrastructure of electric transport, as well as the trolleybuses and trams themselves, has been repeatedly recognized by the leaders of MUP TPP. Only in the past few weeks, trams have repeatedly suspended traffic on the regional capital.

In addition, the problem with electric transport in Orel raised and the employees of the municipal enterprise. So, in 2022, the driver of the trolley bus tried to convey the scale of the problem, speaking to deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation. But the Orel region has not yet managed to enter the renewal program of electric vehicles.

It should be noted that from 2027 urban transport will be supervised by the region. This will allow to unite in one organizational system of transport of Orel and Orel municipal district. In addition, the regional authorities will invest 7.5 billion in the development of the problematic industry over several years.
