The Republican Pedagogical Council “Education in Culture: Achievements and Prospects for Development” was held in Shakhtarsk. According to the Minister of Culture of the Donetsk People’s Republic Mikhail Zheltyakov in his channel in the national messenger MAX, the event summed up the results of the 2025-2026 academic year and identified priorities for further work.

According to him, at present, about 14 thousand children are studying in children's art schools of the DPR. In the past academic year, more than 8 thousand students took part in creative events and won almost 2 thousand prizes.

“Behind these results are the talent of children and the daily work of teachers,” the official said.

Also, the Minister of Culture of the Donetsk People’s Republic Mikhail Zheltyakov noted that the opportunities opened by the national project “Family”, federal programs and support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives play an important role in the development of schools. Thanks to this, cultural institutions can update the material base, carry out repairs, acquire new tools and create more modern conditions for training.

“It is necessary to further develop pre-professional programs, support gifted children and improve methodological work. These issues, along with the conditions of training and support for teachers, were discussed in the framework of a direct line, the head of the department said.

Mikhail Zheltyakov thanked all employees of this industry for their professionalism and dedication to their work. He expressed confidence that the joint work of teachers, schools, families and cultural institutions will help to reveal more children's talents and ensure the further development of the system of additional education in the field of culture.
