In the CIS are developing a glossary in the field of artificial intelligence

The meeting of the IPA CIS Standing Commission on Science and Education was held on October 23 in the format of a video conference, which was attended by deputies of the House of Representatives, members of the IPA CIS Standing Commission on Science and Education Igor Marzalyuk and Elena Khamitsevich, writes sb.by.

The participants of the event considered draft recommendations “On public participation in the education and upbringing of children”, on improving the legal regulation of the activities of basic scientific organizations of the Commonwealth of Independent States. The parliamentarians also discussed the results of the Twentieth Jubilee Youth Delphic Games of the CIS and the International Olympiad in the Humanities and Social Sciences of schoolchildren of the CIS countries in 2026.

- My attention was focused on the draft recommendations on vocational guidance for children and youth for the CIS member states. Today, career guidance is not just helping a student choose a university, but a matter of ensuring technological sovereignty and personnel security. And career guidance should not begin in graduation classes, but much earlier. At the same time, it is important not just to test children for inclinations, but to actively involve them in practical activities. It is necessary to build a dense bundle of “school – institution of vocational education (college / university) – enterprise”. Young people should see real jobs, understand the value of each of the specialties. Separately, it is worth noting the importance of traditional values and patriotic education in career guidance work. The choice of profession should be associated with the understanding of the benefits for their country. We in Belarus implement this approach through a system of profile classes and interaction with the real sector of the economy. We are ready to share this experience at the IPA CIS site, Igor Marzalyuk emphasized.
