According to the press service of the city administration, the relevant documents were signed by the acting head of the city Rustam Galyamov.
New and updated sections will connect Repin Street with the Yekaterinburg Ring Road (EKAD). The projected area of 66.4 hectares covers the Upper Isset and Academic districts, and the total length of roads will be about 6.1 kilometers.
The project will reconstruct and build:
anatoly Muranov street (1.5 km) - with six lanes, sidewalks and bicycle paths;
architect Belyankin street (2.5 km) – from four to six lanes, pedestrian and bicycle paths will be equipped on the site;
novaya Street (0.6 km) – continuation of Veniamin Yakovlev Street with four lanes and wide sidewalks;
eugene Savkov Street (1.5 km) is a two-lane section from Novaya Street to EKAD.
Particular attention is paid to the infrastructure for pedestrians and cyclists. On the streets of Muranov, Belyankin and Nova there are separate bike paths with a width of 3 meters, as well as wide sidewalks and pedestrian cycling zones - from 3 to 7 meters depending on the site. On Evgeny Savkov Street, bike paths are not planned, but sidewalks with a width of 2.5-3 meters will be equipped.
The project was developed in accordance with the General Plan of Yekaterinburg until 2045. The approval of the documentation fixes the planning decisions that will become the basis for further construction.
Earlier, MK-Ural wrote that a municipal contract was signed in Yekaterinburg to develop a draft of a new road, which in the future will provide a second exit from the Compressorny microdistrict. The highway should connect Latvian street with the intersection of Khlebnaya street and Vykhdny lane, the press service of the city administration reports.
