He scored a score of 99.72.
In first place is Japanese Kao Miura (102.90), followed by his compatriot Shun Sato (101.97). Another Russian Vladislav Dikidzhi with a score of 98.86 takes the fourth position.
The men's free program will be presented on November 8.
The ISU allowed Russians to attend their competitions in a neutral status, but so far they have a limited number of quotas for major tournaments due to the lack of rating points. The restrictions were introduced after the beginning of the military operation in Ukraine.
