Belarusians defeated the team of Moldova in the Euroleague Superfinal game on beach football

Having fallen into the “group of death”, at the preliminary stage, the wards of Nicolas Alvarado, alas, lost in matches against the Portuguese (1: 4), the Spaniards (7: 8) and the Swiss (6: 7). But at the start of the consolation tournament, which will be distributed places from the fifth to the eighth, the Belarusians showed the highest class.

The winners in the double did Anatoly Ryabko and Igor Brishtel, one goal scored by Nikita Tchaikovsky and Yuri Petrovsky, and the losers the only capture of the goal on his account recorded Kathalin Beshelya.

Also in the framework of the competition in the Italian Viareggio today, September 12, three more matches were held. In the consolation tournament, the Portuguese broke the resistance of the German team (8: 5), and in the semifinal stage the Spaniards were stronger than the Danes (8: 3), the Italians defeated the Swiss (10: 4).

Tomorrow, on September 13, the teams of Italy and Spain will fight for the title, the Danes and the Swiss will meet in the bronze game, the Belarusians and the Portuguese will contest the fifth final place, and the national teams of Moldova and Germany – the seventh.

In May, the Belarusian squad took part in the qualifying of the competition, following which it became the third. In the group stage, our guys defeated the teams of Turkey (10: 2) and the Czech Republic (8: 3), but lost to the Portuguese (4: 5). In the semifinals, the Belarusians lost to the Spaniards (4: 6), and in the match for bronze took over the Swiss (6: 4).

Belarusians have won four Euroleague medals (silver, three bronzes). The most titled team in the history of this tournament is the national team of Portugal (9 trophies). Five times the champions were the Russians and Spaniards, four titles for the Italians, two for the Swiss, one for the teams of France, Ukraine and Germany.
