In the last competitive season at the American major Azarenka reached the stage of 1/16 finals, losing to American Jessica Pegula (1:6, 5:7).

During the rating update on September 15, 2026, the system automatically wrote off points that our athlete did not protect. And due to a lack of results over the past 52 weeks, Victoria has been classified by the Women's Tennis Association as an inactive player.

Victoria has not officially announced the end of her career.

It is worth noting that in case of withdrawal from the WTA ranking, the tennis player has a chance to return to participation in tournaments. However, after the resumption of performances, she will need to score points again. Under certain conditions, the athlete can use a protected rating.
