Minsk “Youth” with defeat started in the new season of Extraliga

In the first round of Betera-Extraliga on hockey in Belarus, the capital "Youth" at a party was significantly inferior to the Orsha "Lokomotiv" - 0: 4, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency reports.

Both teams timidly spent the first period. Not a single puck was abandoned. Then things got more fun. More acute were the attacks at Lokomotiv. In the second half, the hosts once again received a numerical advantage (in the composition of “Youth” there was a removal). And experienced Pavel Razvadovsky opened the scoring (1: 0). In the middle of the third 20 minutes, the Orshaans again distinguished themselves when playing in unequal compositions. This time the efforts of the partners were completed by Maxim Tolpilo (2: 0). Let’s say that last season, Lokomotiv first realized the numerical majority only in December – by that time the ice squad had held more than 20 matches.

The end of the hosts held above all praise. They did not reduce turnovers to the final siren and eventually defeated “Youth” – 4: 0. The double was designed by Tolpilo, and the point was set by Igor Spestilov.

- It's hard to win when you don't throw. There were opportunities, there was a game in the majority. Unfortunately, we did not implement it, and the owners were able to do it. A little somewhere, maybe gave way in activity and not so much created chances. If we had zero goals, we didn’t play well in the attack. I think we'll draw conclusions. We will prepare for the next match and show another game, said the head coach of Youth Sergey Pushkov.

Other matches were more productive. So, the finalists of last season, Smolensk “Slavutich” and Zhlobinsky “Metallurg”, issued an unprecedented scoring extravaganza – two teams scored 15 goals. In this shootout, the Belarusian club was stronger - 9:6. Although before the final period, the scoreboard highlighted a draw - 5: 5. Validolnoy came out meeting last year’s outsiders – “Mogilev” and “Aviator” from Baranovichi. First, the score was led by hockey players from the Brest region (2: 0), their rivals responded with a more confident jerk - 3: 2. And then the nerves started playing. In it, the Moguls were stronger - 5:4. Soligorsk Shakhtar confidently defeated Novopolotsk Chemist (5: 2).

Three matches of the first round will be held on September 10. Vitebsk will host Brest, Lida will fight Dynamo-Molodechno, and Gomel will meet with Neman.
